My Journey
If you've made it this far, allow me to formally introduce myself. My name is Quentin Coombs, and I've had a passion for technology since a young age. I was born and raised in Tampa, FL (Go Bucs!) and the surrounding area. Growing up, I was the kid that begrudgingly helped to fix the Wi-Fi disconnections or assisted the elderly with downloading an app on their phone. This early exposure to technology sparked my interest and set me on a path to pursue a career in IT.
Education & Certifications
I graduated from Florida State University (Go Noles!) in May of 2020 with a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, solidifying my foundation in IT principles and practices. Since graduation I have been diligently working to sharpen my technical skills by earning certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, and AWS Cloud Practitioner. These certifications have equipped me with a strong conceptual understanding of networking, security, and cloud computing.
My Goals
Looking ahead, my goal is to leverage my IT background and programming skills to transition into a cybersecurity role. I am particularly interested in areas such as threat analysis, incident response, and security architecture. I am committed to continuous learning and professional development to stay current with the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity.
